These will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and with different styles of toilet paper holders. Some have a small screw on the side which you can unscrew with a small flathead screw driver or small allen key/wrench. Others have the screws fairly visible which you can unscrew with the appropriate screw driver, most of the time on these, you will need a phillips screwdriver. There are some toilet paper holders that you cannot see the fasteners holding them in place. On these you can move them up or to the sides to release them from where they are being held in place. Alternate with your upwards or sideways movements to see which one will work for you. Once you have remove them, you will have access to the screws holding the part to which the toilet paper holder was anchored on. Good luck!
