It depends on the brand name and the efficiency of the unit. Also depends on how much the installer marks it up. A Carrier brand HP will cost more than say a Goodman (if Goodman even makes one). But the Carrier will be by far built better and have better quality parts inside. Remember you get what you pay for. If you know somebody in the business you can probably get it at wholesale pricing or the installers price. At this point you can figure anywhere from $800 and up.
