If the custody agreement states that you are allowed visitation, then you can file contempt of court and they will make sure that you get visitation. Plus if you want to get custody back, contempt of court will not look favorably on her and will increase your chances of getting the custody reversed.

You might have to take them to court to get custody back

I wish I knew all the answers, its really heart breaking when you think you can trust someone, and they turn around and do diff. Just hang in there. There has to be somthing that can be done she voluntarily done this, doesn't mean she's a bad mom it means she had the heart to trust the parents, she thought she was doing the right thing. MY grandma always told me if there is a will theres a way.

If the grandparents do not have legal guardianship of the grandcchildren though the court then they don't have guardianship legally. If the mother gave written consent to the grandparents giving the grandparents consent to file for legal guardianship and they filed and got it though the court then what the mother now has to do is file a motion with the court asking for custody of the children back. Anytime a parent gives consent to someone else to file for guardianship the court should of told the legal guardians that it is a tempory order that can be revoked at any time when the parent or parent decides they want their child or children back. but the mother has to also be aware that when she gives guardianship to someone else that she cannot get visitations, she gives up that right, and the grandparents can also file for child support against both parents for chiild support. i do not lnow the reasons behind this but I would think that there would be some trust there between all of you and that the grandparents should of been aware that one day you would want your child or children back and they should respect you for caring enought to allow them to care for the children until you could take them back.
