I do not know about the laws in your state but I had legal guardianship of my grandaugter in arizona. My daughter signed her rights over to me in order to get the guardianship. Then she ask me several months later if she could take her daughter with her to visit her grandpa in texas. I let her and she never came back. I tried getting her back but was told that she was the partinal mother and I could not do anything. So it would be up to you to decide if she could be trusted enought that she would bring him back. I do know that if she were to file a motion to the court asking for custody back she would more than likely get it. The court told me If my daughter ever wanted to ask for custody for her child that I would have to give her back again it depends on the judge and the reason you have the guardianship. if it were appointed to you though the court then it might be harder for her to get him back.
