Child Custody

The guy my wife had an affair with doesn't want anything to do with the baby. His family has been in touch with my wife about their baby. His brother told her that they want the baby and will fight for custody of the baby if need be. What rights to the baby does his family have if any?

So the guy's brother wants the baby?

this is no different then any other child custody situation.

if the guy doesn't want it, your wife and your family should be able to get sole custody of the child.

and don't forget, that you could possibly get child support from this guy for the next 18+ years as well.

Offer them visitation. Just becuz the dad is a loser does not mean the whole family is losers. Actually you will get primary custody over the brother. & as sid said, child support for the next 18 yrs.
