Child custody and intent to leave the state

My son's father and I have joint custoy of our son. I want to leave the state of Indiana and move to Texas. Which I did about a week ago and was ordered by court to return to the state. Now I want to leave and go through the proper procedure. I also, want more money in child support. Do you think I would have a hard time leaving the state now since I did without letting the court know. The judge told me in order to leave I have to get permission from the court to leave. Plus, I could prove this is a better opportunity for me and my son. How long do you think this case will take

With you leaving with out telling the courts, that was bad. But if you return by the time that was stated in the order, that is good on your behalf. The process will take up to a month at the least for the proper paper work to go through. You have to be able to prove that the move is better for you and your son. I went through this with one of my ex's. Of course she won the case and she took his son 4 states away. the only thing was, that the judge made them meet at a half way point every other weekend for him to still have his rights and to be able to see him. At the time we lived in Ohio and she moved to south carolina. it was a nice drive twice a month.
