The Ex is the one that filed a claim on the father and You have your first court hearing and your there to find out how much your going to pay and the Ex does not show up for the hearing or court what will happen to the father. If he has to pay back childsupport and the Ex doesnt show up what will happen.....

Nothing still have to pay if amount is already set the ex wouldn't need to be there. Now if an amount hadn't been set I'd take a lawyer to get it dropped especial if ex lives in different town .

If the ex filed for child support and did not or does not appear for the hearing the judge would have to dismiss the case. The court does not know if the mother and father decided to stop the support by not appearing or if they got back together,the judge is not a mind reader,that is why people get hearings set and why they need to appear.
