Your child support has nothing to do with you having your child and having to pay day care. You are responiable to pay the day care if you choose to put the child in day care when the child is with you and you cannot deduct any of that money from your child support so your ex wife is right when she states you have to continue to pay.

Do I have to pay for summer day care in addition to child support?
My son is coming to stay with me for six weeks this summer. I need to put him in summer day care while I work. I pay child support to my ex-wife monthly. She and her new husband are claiming that I will have to pay the cost of the day care in addition to sending them the monthly child support during the six weeks that he is living with me. I believe they are responsible for the cost of the day care (just as if he was living with them in Iowa). I have to assume all other expenses while he is with me, even though I continue to pay child support, but I don't think the day care is my responsibility. What do you think?
