Father that pays child support and has no contact with child

I have been paying for Child Support since my little girl was almost 2, she is almost 6 now, I have not seen her since, my ex moved out of province and i have no contact information. When sending her gifts, i have to send it to one of her relatives. I did pay $150.00 per month, and it was jacked up to $435.00 per month. I'm not making a big deal of paying but i would like to see my child. I have no idea what their living standards are now, and my ex recently had another baby. I don't know to much about custody, and when i tried legal aide, they said I had made to much money in one year. I only work 6 months out of the year, and I'm just working to pay for my child support, it seems like I can not get a head, or even save up for a lawyer. I am confused and frustrated. What can I do? Someone please help., I find so many fathers are so mistreated and taken advantage of, what about our feelings? I just want to see my child, its hard not being able to see your child grow up.

You never stated much on you and the ex, as in were you ever married or are you on the childs birth certificate, if you were either married or on the childs birth certificate you have the legal right to file for visitations, if there has never been a visitation order ineffect though the court. If you have never been married to the mother and you are not on the childs birth certificate then you would need to take a DNA test to prove partently in order to file fo visitations, and your right legal aide goes by your income and your income would have to be way low inorder to get them to help you, but you can call the court house and ask for their list of low cost lawyers, or go to lowcostlawyersallstates.com . This is not fair to you, and I am surprized you waited this long before trying to find out about your rights. Also if you are only working 6 months out of theyear, you can file a motion under hardship wth the court asking the court to lower your child support payments, all you need if your income tax return for last year, or your recent pay stubs to show the court what you are earning. These forms can be downloaded on the internet by going to courthouse.com and type in your county and state, then go to forms, you can fill the forms out and file with the court.

I was never married to her, we went out for 5 years. I am on the birth certificate for my little girl. As for me now, I have tried to contact her and my little girl, but her parents are the ones giving me a hard time, they will not give myself or my mother information about their whereabouts. I am not book smart, and had no idea how to go about this, I am in a new relationship now, and my gf is helping me try and find the right steps to do this. Thank you so much for giving some information, I had no idea at all. I did go through legal aide and they told me i could not file for it because i made to much money, I work in road construction and its only seasonal, so I only work 6 months out of the year. I have no problem paying the child support at all, but having to send this money every month makes me think, are they using for her? What are her living conditions. I have all these things in my head, and its really frustrating not knowing.

You can go online and get the forms to file for joint custody and visitations, you have that legal right, you can go online to the courty court house and download the forms and file them with the court. You need a court ordered visitation plan inforce befre you can file against the mother to enforce partenal rights. You can also get a list oflow lost lawyers from your county court house and see what it would cost for them to help you file the papers. The lawyer should be able to get you the address of whre the mother lives, though the child support services, you should also be able to get this information since your paying child support, the mother would of had to sign a form with the child support services requesting that her address t not be given out, and in order to do this she would of had to say it was because she feared you. Also check with family menbers or friends you both had and try to get the information from them.
