If you intend to file for child support you need to know that unless there has been a court ordered support already in force you are not going to get any back chid support. There has been a knew law that passed a couple of years ag stating that if there was not already a child suport order in effect then you could only be able to get chils support from the time you file. So you would only get it for 2 years if your filing on a child that is 16. You need to just file actually when recieving child support from someone in the service is a good thing, you never have to worry about getting your payments.
