I would have a talk with your ex and simply tell her that you are paying alot in child support and you have also been buying other things for your child and that because you can't afford to it is causing a hardship on your relationship. Tell her if she does not start buying clothes and spending some child support on your daughter then you are going to have to go back to court. You can file a motion with the court to modifly the orignal order of your child support. you have your daughter at least 50% of the time you can get it lowered. you are not responiable to carry this load by your self,child support is for the child and to be used on the child for clothes food act,ect. She needs to start showing that the money is being spent on the child.

What Does Child Support Cover?
What specifically does child support cover? Does it include school and extra-curricular activities? I have my 12 year old daughter about 1/2 the time, pay $550/month in child support, and buy my daughter clothes and other things she needs while at my house. My daughter wants me to buy her things for school and other activities since my ex will not. I want to, but I feel that I am already paying my share of these costs by my child support, so her other parent should be buying my daughter these items with the child support money. My daughter gets upset with me if I don't provide her these things for school and other activites, which is putting a strain on our relationship. Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
