Child visitation rights

I am the father of a 13 year old daughter that I have with my ex. I pay child support, and have a parenting agreement. This past weekend was my weekend with my daughter. I was contacted by my ex's mother after I had tried calling my daughter to pick her up, and told that my daughter, my ex and my ex's other two children were in protective custody. They couldn't tell me what happened. My ex called me the next day and told me that she could only talk 15 min. on the phone every two days. I have not been able to talk to my daughter. My ex also told me that it could be up to 2 months before I can see or talk to my daughter and may be more. I was wondering if I had any rights to my daughter in this matter. Can they keep her away from me even if I'm not the cause of the problem?

That would depend on the type of protective custody. Call the police department and see what if any info they will give you, at least your voice will be heard and they will know that you are concerned. Otherwise you will need to sit tight, Protective Custody is in place for a seriouse reason, and they be trying to keep you uninvolved to keep you safe without having to place you as well.

I think u should speak to a lawyer. And see if she truly is in protective custody and what has happened.
