Custody

The father is taking me to court for custody because I am taking him for child support this month in court. What causes a mother to loose custody of her child. I have raised our son since birth with a job, our son is in school, I do not drink, and He is taken care of. What reasons would the father have to give to take my son away?

The father can't just take your son away. He's just trying to get back at you, don't be scared.

It is very hard for a father to take a child away from their mother. He would have to prove you unfit.

My ex gained temporary custody of my kids. Its been over a year now and they are still with him. We've been to court twice and the judge has yet to make up his mind. We didn't deserve any of this. I'm a good mother. I don't do drugs or abuse my children. My children want to be with me. I believe it's the court system. They failed me and my children. The only ones who are suffering are my kids. A judge can do anything he wants and that's exactly what mine did. I've spent a lot of money on attorney fees and have no more moneyl. Be careful what you say to you're ex. Don't let the kids hear any negative things about him. And yes, you can lose custody. I did.

I am going through the same thing. He is doing everything he can to get out of paying you child support. He is using the child as a pawn to try to hurt and get back at you. I dont think any judge would take a child away from the mother if there is no abuse or neglect to the child.
