Custody laws in florida

We have had our friends son for 8months now and are going for full custody we also had his half sister she was taken last week the grandparents on her dad's side(different dads) filed for emergency custody in texas and got it so the mother wants to give us custody so that nobody can take him so the question would be how strong are the custody laws in florida if you have full custody who can take him and with having custody does that mean that they would have to fight us for him

The mother has more say where the children go than the grandparents in all states. If you have a safe home, allow the grandparents visitation and can keep the brother and sister together AND the mother wants the children with you, then I would say you have a great shot! Good luck!
