Custody of my 10 year old daughther

My daugher 10year old just moved with my wife and I to finish the school year because her mother is unsable right now and she is looking for a place to live. I pay child support but now shes living with me. How do I get child support stopped and which type of custody would be best for me? Joint? Sole? I just want it on recorded that she is with me now and I am taking care of her. Her mom says it will be for this school year but it could be longer even forever. I live in IL State.
