Custody when seperated

My wife and I are seperated and my 15 year old son lives with me. My son would like to go to visit his grandmother for 1 week, who lives in a different state, but my wife says he can't. She says she can have me arrested if I send him. Does she have any say on his vacations if he lives with me.

Depends on if you have anything in writing. She cannot have you arrested, but she can have you held in contempt if there is anything legal written up. However, in WA state I believe it is 2 or 3 days that the child can leave without any notice to the other party if there is nothing written up.

She has no say so if you are the parent that has custody.

She has a right to take son on vacation just as you do. Just make sure it does not interfere with her visitation. I cannot believe she will not allow this!

This sounds the most helpful, and this person seems to have alittle more legal credibility, with knowledge of Washington State laws.
