Father rights with joint custody and the mother moving out of state

Can a mother move out of state if the father had joint custody, and he she the kid ever other weekend and holiday and half of the summer. if not what can they do about it?

I think they need to amend the custody agreement before she can do that and take the kids.

i could be wrong though.

The custodial parent MUST notify the non custodial parent of any move outside of the school district it is usually by certified mail and 60days before the move. Unless it is related to violence. If they move and did not file, file an objection to the relocation to bring them back. It is all under relocation of a child. Check with your local courts. You can file an objection to relocation even if the other party hasn't legally notified you, but you are aware they plan on moving in a short period of time. Once you file that they cannot move until the hearing is over.
