Father to take children out of state for a month

My husband and I were to move to colorado (from AZ) for a job he got there. He moved before the kids and I and to make a long story short we have agreed that we don't want to married anymore. They kids are out of school now and he wants to take them for a month. I don't have a problem with it I just don't want there to be some kind of law that says I abandoned my children. Is there a form I can have him sign? There is no legal seperation or divorce yet.

I would recommend a legal separation prior to the children's departure, with a letter of intent descriping the length of stay and a tentative return date to you. Please don't assume since everything is nice now that it can't get ugly really fast. Arizona and Colorado have different laws, be very careful.
