Father visitation rights

Our daughter has sole custody of a 4 year old and father of child
never married to daughter has visitation rights spelled out. Does he have a right to take the child out of state more than 500 miles without the permission or knowledge of the custodian parent.
What is the recourse and what will keep him from doing this again during his visitation times.

Your daughter should look at the parenting plan and if this is not addressed in it, this needs to be added. If he just has visitation rights, she can take him to court if he does not want to make any changes and get the changes via court order.

Also, you might want to speak to a different attorney or mediator if this wasn't addressed in the original agreement. This is a big red flag if it wasn't in the agreement.

If he has visitation rights he has the right to tak them where ever he wants as long as he brings them back at a proper time.
