I live in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, my granddaughter who is now 3 years old lives in Downintown, PA, my son might give up his rights to his daughter cause he doesnt want to pay support, my question is her mom is saying that my family including myself will never see my grand daughter again, Can she do that? The granparents have know legal rights. If your son signs away his rights you will never be able to see the child though the father. If you do not get along with the mother then she can keep the kids from you. You might try talking your son into not giving up his rights and to file for visitations. If he is doing this just because he does not want to pay child support He may come to regret it one day. The kids should always know their parents and have their love.
