Well what the school is stating is that you need something legal because by law it is the responiably of the parents to have and to raise their children. If you could get the parent or parents to sigh over you the right to file for legal guardianship or custody then you could get the forms off the internet under legal forms and file them with the court and you would have to pay the filing fee's. If both parents are not together then you would have to have the other absent parent also sign or served. The difference between guardianship and custody is that guardianship is tempory you have it as long as the parent allows as soon as one or the other file for custody it goes back to them. Custody is a little harder to get back once given. If done of these options seem availiable to you then I would sujest that one of the parents enroll the child in school and give your address and have your name put down on the school forms ass a second person to contact and that usally works.
