Why did your guardianship run out, that is strange usally when ordered though the court you have it until the mother or father files for custody. You should file a motion with the court and ask them to give you another order. Since you have the old one it should not be a promblem. I would of had this done long before now you knew he would be going to school. If you have a paper signed from the mother giving you guardianship and not though the court it would not of been legal anyways. And if this is the case then you would have to get the parents to give you consent to file for guardianship and that can take awhile. You need to file for tempry custody so that you can get the child in school. That can be done. You might try using the guardianship that you have even though it is invalid they may not notice the dates and if they do expain that it shows you have had it five years and just going to have it renewed and as long as you have his shots up to date and his birth certificate you should be fine.
