How do I gain custody of my grandson

We believe our daughter has a drug problem and has left our grandson in Nebraska with his greatgrandma and she has power of att on him only, she feels he is to much for her to handel and wants him to come and live with us and he wants to come here also, we have tried to to reach our daughter but she dose not answer her phone, last we heard she was somewhere partying in Alabama with a guy she had just met. I would like to know what can me and my husband do to get eighter temp. or full custody of him.

You'll have to contact the county court that appointed POA to the great grandma and file for change of custody. Every state and county is different, but they can tell you the forms to file. You'll go to a hearing and unless it is contested, which it doesn't sounds like it will be then you should be able to gain custody. They will make sure that you made an effort to contact your daughter, but I think a judge would rule her as an unfit parent and it should be no problem for you to get custody.
