How do I get help Paying for a court order custody evaluation?

I am the non-custodial parent. I have supervised visitation of ours 8 year old daughter. I lost custodian as the result of alleged false allegations of child abuse September 2002. I was order to participate in specialized therapy for one year which I finally completed I then filed a motion to be reunited with my daughter. I now have to complete another evaluation of the therapy before a modification in custody will be considered. I do not have the money for the evaluation. I am currently paying $677 child support and $900 for supervised visitation a month for 8 hours. I pay for her medical and dental. I am paid once a month and take home $1,400 after deductions. I pay the visitation from this amount. Is there some court provision for help with paying for the evaluation?

If your paying $677 in child support and an addition $900.00 how are you managing that when your take home pay is only $1,400.00 take home. That means you are short $177.00 a month . It sounds like you need to contact an attorney and try to get your child support lowered. The other option I would sujest is that instead of paying $900.00 a month for 8 hours a month not see them a couple of months unless it is court ordered that you have to do this then there is not much you can do. The money that your paying for the visits you could use for the evaluation. If you completed the first evaluation why is the court wanting a second? You might want to check with your health insurance and see if they cover for evaluations. I know it is a long shot but it does not hurt to check out your options. You make to much money to apply for state medical benifits. It sounds like you are determined to get your visitation back and I wish you all the luck in doing so.Children need both parents if at all possible. Have faith it will work out.
