How to get custody as a father in Nj. when the mother lives in Pa.

I am a single father living in nj. I am trying to get custody of my son, since his mother is still into drugs and still stripping for a living. She brings bad people and drugs around my son and i am afraid for his well being. How would i go about getting custody of my son?
