I have had custody of my 10 year old son since my divorce in 1999. My ex only has visitation. I must relocate within the

State for a job promotion within the next 2 weeks. I have filed the proper papers with the court but it can take up to a 30 day period for her to reply. I am sure she is going to fight this and has talked my son into saying he wants to stay behind and live with her and her husband and 3 kids in a 2 bedroom apt. The conditions are horrible. She has been investigated almost monthly by DCF and has been evicted from homes twice in the last year. What do you think her chances are of taking my son from me? I have a stable home with a stay-at-home wife and a 3 year old daughter. My ex has also never paid any of the court ordered child support in the many years that we have been divorced. I would make sure she maintained visitation everyother week and have offered her 2 additional weeks in the summer.
