I want to travel to Florida with my daughter but don't want her mother to object and stop us from going

I currently live in Michigan and have temporary custody of my daughter. I am legally separated and am in a court fight against her mother for custody. I have custody and she lives with me. Her mother currently has supervised visitation once per week with me acting as the supervisor. I have tickets to leave for Florida to see my grandfather who has never met my daughter.
My question is, do I have to get any authorization from my soon-to-be ex-wife before I can bring my daughter out of the state to Florida? We are currently married, but separated and a judge has given the currect custody ruling. I

If I were you I would have her sign a statement. It may not be required but it might reduce courtroom drama.

I would ok and clear it with your soon to be ex wife first. It may cause some courtroom drama if you up and left without telling her.

but since you are the legal guardian at the moment, you should be able too.

I would just run it by your wife and make sure she knows before you go.
