Joint Custody

I have only one child he is 5yrs old and his father has him in North Carolina and I stay in South Carolina, my son father took him for a visit and would not bring him back, the father of my son also put child support on me through the DSS offica in North Carolina with out me knowing, no one will help me what should I do? He is a good father to his son but he want my son all to him-self and he has no right.What should I do first?

Do you have physical custody signed by a court? What your ex is doing may be considered Child Custody interference in you state.
