Joint custody

I have 2 childen ages 13, 14. The court granted me and my ex joint custody, giving him domesile rights. He is not letting me get my childen. Only letting me see them at his house, or my dad's house. (NO, I am not under supervized vistiation.) Many times not letting me talk to them on the phone. He will not talk to me about these issues. Telling me he will keep me from them all together if I say a word about it to my children. He tells my children that no court in the world would let me get them. Is he in contempt of court? Moreover, what are my legal rigts? And what steps should I take to resolve this issue?

I'm sorry, he sounds like a jerk. It's hard but don't be afraid of him. You have rights, and the courts will honor your rights. In time he may settle down. You might document everything he does. It's possible he's in contempt, depending upon what your divorce decree says.

The kids are old enough to know what's going on, just love them as much as you can. It's your choice, but not telling them about it seems like a good idea.
