The parenting plan always reverts to the other parent unless there is danger to that child. That is why the child was not allowed to stay with you while he is gone. However, if there is a hearing did someone request that the primary custody change over back to the mother? Is the 6wks only temporary -one time thing or will this continue? If it continues then it is possible they will revert to the mother as primary custodian because moving the child back and forth will be too hard on them. (Remember the child cannot stay with you...if the mother wants him) so ...if this was a one time training course..then I think you should be fine with keeping the child. Although I am curious as to why there is a hearing.

Father got 55% mom got 45 %
My husband got physical joint custody his son 11 years old,my stepson live with us mon~friday and with his mom at weekend .. my husband have to go Hawaii for work for 6 weeks,my step son live with me and go to district school in our area but since my husband was gone to hawaii his ex got primery custody.my step son have to move to another school close his mom house and live with his mom.. I can see my step son just only 2 day a month.., Judge give her primery custody until Nov. trail date .. I dont know what is gonna happen .. my husband will lose his son ?

I was mistake that i told you i got to see my stepson just only 2 days a month .Actually i got to see him every other weekend since Friday 6 pm until Sunday 6 pm.,my husband just went to work only this time.just only 1 time a year.the Custody investigator letter to us and judge last week that no reason have to move my stepson to live with his mom while my husband was gone at all.Investigation said I am difinatly can take care of him during a school day.but again the judge already give a chid live with mom right now..so we all have to wait until Trail in this Nov.Oh one very interesting that custody investigation said the mother need to see a cousuling and child should go the same school that he had been for years
