How can I have custody of my kids ?

I left my 2 girls when they were 3 and 5. Because I can not support them that time, I had no job , no safe place for them. So I let their father take care them. But I still see them thought that time until now. Now they are 12 and 10 and I think they need mom more than dad and also I have a job and house so can can have the right to take them back ? what if he doesn't let me what should I do ?

If your ex has custody though the court then it may be hard for you to get custody of the children. Although you may of felt that you had good reason to give him the kids it does not mean that the court will just allow you to come back and take them. If there is a reason that you have concern for their care then you would need to be able to prove it to the court. You have every legal right to file for custody if you want,but the courts are going to do what is in the best interest of the children. You might want to consult an attorney about your rights.
