I'm not a lawyer or anything but it's common sense if "he" the father came down to visit the child until the baby gets used to him, and a little older to fly, back and forth even then i don't think the courts will allow that, they will probably only give him summer vacations and, or holiday visitations. Which is something i figure would happen, again i'm not a lawyer but for the baby's sake daddy should visit him, if he really wants to have a good relationship with his son. He needs to put baby first always, not himself.

How often should my ex get to see our baby living in a different state?
My ex and I have joint cutody with me having residency. We decided not to be together even b4 the baby was born and I moved to Kansas with my mother. I had our son and now my ex wants to fly him back and forth for four days each month. My baby is use to me and I know it would be tramatic just to do that. How often should he get to seen our baby and should he come to Kansas to see him? My ex lives in Arizona and wants to take him back for a week. I just need to know how often and at what age. I am totally lost.
