Joint custody

I would like to know what does joint legal custody mean? and how old does the child have to be for the joint custody order to be finished or disolved?

The child can be of any age and joint custody means that both parents have the right to make decitions together in regards to their child. It has nothing to do with child support. The mother will have the physical custody ,eaning that she will have the chid for the bigger part of the time.
