Well you should file for sole custody of your child. When you do that he will get visitations stipulated and child support will also be ordered at that time . Until you file for custody though the court neither one of you have custody so it is best for you to file. People mistake the meaning of joint custody. Joint custody means that both parents share in making decitons for their children. You the mother would have physical custody meaning that the child lives with you for the better part of the year. Child support has to be paid even with joint custody so don't worry about that. The concern I see in all this right now is that his family are trying to interfere with the both of you and it is not any of their business and they have know legal right to have any say in any of this. If he allows his parents to interfere then he is just asking for trouble. Because in doing so it will just cause more promblems between you. So think about all this and decide what is in the best interest of your child and for yourself you don't need interfering grandparents.
