Joint custody

I am a single mother of a 2 year old little girl. Her father is talking about taking me to court for joint custody but he doesn't help with her, doesn't pay child support, don't come see her, and don't call to see how she doing then have the nerve to tell me I won't let him see her which is a lie. Is it possible for him to get custody of her?

Unfortunately, he can get some type of custody. It may be somthing as simple as visitations. You should have something for child support. Thats not right that he doesnt pay, but they dont hold that against custody.
