Live In texas want to move out of State

I live in houston Texas, I am not married and have a child
want to move out of state. I know I have to contact the friend
of the court. The child's father refused to let me take the child
out of state. I don't understand thier decision due to the fact
the child's father has no contact what so ever with the child. The childs
father sometimes pays child support and gets free advice from
his mother that is a lawyer. Please advice me to what I may
do to solve this situation. Want to relocate to be with my
family and I have a new job in another state if I can leave.

You can always go to court and see if you can have the judge rule in your favor. It seems if you can offer a better life for your child and will find a way that the father can visit your child (since he hasn't been all that involved anyway) then a judge could side with you. If you are really worried about it, you may want to get a lawyer.
