Moving out of state with children
I live in upstate NY and have permanent placement of my children with a Joint custody agreement. My fiance and I would like to move to Florida. Neither of us are from the area. I moved here in 2002 with my ex-husband as this is where he is from. My fiance moved here 1 1/2 yrs ago to be with me. My ex sees the kids 4 days per month, and 2 of those days are always spent at their grandparents. He never tries to see the kids any extra and sometimes cancels or tries to cancel the weekends he does have them. I am an RN and my fiance is an EMT and we could find gainful employment in a different state with a warmer climate and good schools. What are our chances and what should we know?
