My boy friend has a five year old son that he pas child support on. He is divorced from his sons mother. She is in contempt

My boy friend has a five year old son that he pas child support on. He is divorced from his sons mother. She is in contempt of the divorce decree. He is to see him and she won't let him. The lawyer says we can't do anything without money. He also wants to know if he gets a dna test to prove his son is not his and gives up his right, will he still have to pay child support? Mianly confused cause his name is on the birth certificate.
