The courts won't take your own daughter away from you and place her in the care of an incompetent relative. There's no legal reason you should continue to give your mother money either. Rest at ease.

My mother is trying to take my to me court for custody of my daughter...
My mother and I really dont get along and especially her and my husband, and if she asks us to borrow money, which if you knew her she doesnt pay back or tells you she will give it to you one day and you have to wait forever. So, since we wouldnt lend her any money and she hates my husband she wants to take us to court for custudy of my 3 yr old daughter. Mind you that she takes percocets, oxys, and she also is on cocaine, but she denies the cocaine, which friends of hers told me so, her house has mice and roaches and stinks like cat pee and she has never had a cat because my stepfather is allergic. I have nothing against my stepfather, its just my mother and we never really saw eye to eye with each other and since I got married 5 yrs ago she wont stop fighting and arguing with us, if we dont lend her money right away she wants to argue and fight and then after a week or so we talk again and then couple weeks go by and she asks for money again. I'm getting tired of her asking for money, I have just enough to support my family,let alone give her money that maybe she'll pay back. If something doesnt go my mothers way then right away she starts fighting and arguing, can she take my daughter away because she doesnt get what she wants?

Thank you so much, I just didnt know what to do, and she still keeps texting me telling me that she is going to the courts tomorrow to file for visitations and/or custody. Shes trying to keep me from moving to another state, I hate the town I live in and i hate Jersey because everything is just too expensive and I cant afford it, so when I didnt give her money and told her I was moving out of state, that is when she started with this crap and I dont want to put my 3 yr old through court and now she saying a bunch of accusations toward my husband and saying she will tell the judge these things that arent true, can she keep me from moving out of state?
