My rights and requirements as a father trying to get custody
I have 2 children 10 & 8 ,i never married their mother,we never went thru child support or custody battles,however i have paid child support willingly with medical insurance for the both of them,on an agreed amount between the both of us,she is a good mom and i am a good dad with an understanding that they are worth working together for. Except she met a new guy a year or so ago had a child with him and he is physically/mentally abusive to her mentally to my children.i dont like it and want to remove them from the situation.i have tried to help her by letting her use my spare vehicle even offering upwards of 4 thousand dollars to get out on her own,in the past she has come to stay with me twice from fear of him hurting her or from him hurting her,but she seems to always go back and belittle the situation or make excuses for his actions,i need to know whats required of me and what my rights are to get custody of them
