His mother has a right to her as well, she can actually go to court to get the right to visitation if she wants, regardless of the father. She can't control her son, but you shouldn't exclude her from her grandchild's life to get back at you child's dad. It only hurts your child and the grandma. As a parent you have to set your motives, anger and agendas aside and really look at what is best for your child.

You should go to family court and have your custody agreement modified so that you get full custody.
