Older grand children

If our daughter and her husband are preventing us from having any contact with our teen age grand kids and he is their step dad do we have any chance of the court ordering visitation on our behalf? Because the kids step dad illegaly tape the great grandmother's phone calls and came up with a fictious story about us trying to take the kids away we have not been allowed any contact with them at all since 8/11/2008. They kicked the great grandparents out of the house and told us we will never see the kids again. The step dad has also told our 13 year old grandson that as soon as he is 18 he no longer lives there. He is canstantly making sratments of how well endowed our grand daughter is and neither one of them are allowed out of the yard on their bikes, to go to a movie with friends, they are home schooled and have very little contact with the out side world.Until this happened our grandson had never had any friends over. They are not allowed to use the internet or communicate with any one. Would it be possiable for us to at least get to see them to be sure that they are ok?

I don't know what state you live in,but some states allow grandparents the right to file for visitation. It sounds like to me that your daughter should say something to her husband about this and tell him your the grandparents and your mother,if she cannot stand up to him there may be a reason. I would call any attorney and ask about the law on visitations for grandparents and go from there. I would also talk to your daughter and see if she will open up to you about what is going on. Hopefully there are know serious promblems in your daughters home. You might want to keep in touch with a friend of your daughters or a family member that may know what is going on,that will help you to check on how their doing. If you hear of anything that would make you believe that the children are in danger you will need to call CPS. I believe the best thing to do right now is talk to your daughter, and if she won't work with you then call the attorney for legal advice.
