Good evening. My girlfriend is moving to New Hampshire to live with me.

Hello. My girlfriend and I are very much in love with each other. She has a one year old son by previous relationship. Her ex has been verbally abusive to her, has been noncompliant with visitations, either calling her at last minute or cancelling previous vistations set up by my girlfriend. I live in New Hampshire and she has decided to move here with me so we can get married and have a life together. She is bringing her son with her. The Father has also been non-compliant with regular support checks as well, having paid only $150.00 eight times in the past 13 months. I work as a registered nurse for a NH State Department and own my home, and will offer her son a high quality of life in an environmentally favorable climate, as well as much love and the benefits my profession can bring. She wants to bring her son with her to a better life, which we both feel is in his best interest. Is this possible.

Well there are jsut a few things that could prevent that ,and that is if she and her ex have joint cusdoty. If so she would need to file a motion to the court and modifly the orignal order asking the judge for sole custody and stimpulate visitations when and how often he can see the child and to include that he is to pay for transportation to see him. If you had been married you would still of had to do the same but because your not it will be up to the judge to determine if moving out of state would benifit the child. Usally they allow it when one or the other parent has to move because of thier job and this is not the case. As for being in the rears in child support that has nothing to do with the visitataions.
