Having Joint Custody and Visitation of a child while living in different states one being a commonwealth state (VA)

You cannot have joint custody if both parents are not in the same state,if you have joint custody from a different state,and you moved out of state,then you would need to file a motion to modifly the orignal custody order,asking for out of state visiation. If the state you moved from has juristriction over your custody order,then you will need to file in that state.
