I want to move out of state with my daughter and I have custody of her. What do I need to do to move out of state?

I have custody of my daughter. Her father and I were never married. Her father has alternate weekends with her and he has a week every season with her. My papers from the court only say that I must keep him informed of my phone number and address. Do I need to talk to the court or can I just move and give him the information and have my daughter at our normal spot on his visitations?
