Joint Custody and moving out of state

If parents are awarded joint custody of children under 14 years of age and one parent decides to move out of state, can the other parent stop the move?

Usally in the court order there is a stipulation that states that neither parent can move out of stste with the child or children. You might want to check and see if that is the case in your order,if not then you can file a motion with the court and modifly the orignal order asking that the child or children not to taken out of state.
