First, you can file a court order that will not allow her to take your son. The courts view you both equally as parents and you both have a right to have your son. With a job and a place to live with electricity and other things, you're actually in a better position to control the matter. You have just as many rights to your son as she has and don't let anyone tell you something else. You should probably contact your local family support agency run by the county in which you live to start the process.

My wife and I are seperated and no she wants to take our son and move from CA to OK. What can I do?
Was just seperated a few days ago. I couldn't find a job in the city we were living in. I got an offer from a guy a month earlier that he would give me an apt and a great job in sacramento about 2 hours south of where we lived. So I finally decided that since we were gonna get kicked out of the house we were in to take the job. She didn't want to come with me. So she's still in the house that she will be kicked out of and has no electricity. Our son has been staying with my parents for two weeks now which is an hour south of where i'm living and 3 hours from where she is. Now she has no money no job and soon no house, so she's talking about moving to OK with her mom and taking our son with her. I don't know what to do I can't live out there with her mom it would not be good for me or our son. What are my rights? How can I get him to stay here?
