Relocating with child

My wife lives in Washington and has a child. Her and the child's father alternate days keeping him, but they have nothing on paper as far as a parenting plan goes. He doesnt pay child support either. She wants to move to another state and take the child, but doesnt want to have to move back if the father tries to fight for custody. What does she need to do before she leaves, and how long would that process take?

She would have to file a motion with the court asking that she be able to move due to your job or hers ect. She should go back to court anyways and state that he is not paying his child support. If there has never been anything court ordered about the rights she has as for moving then she should be ok. Only if it is stated that she can't move out of state with them that she would have a promblem
