Child custody

My boyfriend and I are living together in my mothers house and we have a five month baby. If I ask him to move out can he get custody of my son? What can I do to protect myself and my son from his father taking him. I am afraid that if we spit up he and or his family will try to take my son. What are my options???

You need to file for custody ASAP,and child support. He cannot take your son your not married. You do want to file with the courts and ask for sole custody at that time they will set up visitation for the father and child support will also be ordered. You can either call free lagal services they go by your incom. Also you can get forms on line under legal forms,and fill them out and file them,then you just have to pay the filing fee.
