How can I get my son back from his father's parents, I only gave them temp custody.

I signed over temporary custody of my 3 year old son to his deceased father's parents. Ever since they have been very mean in regards to letting me see him. I can only go see him if the whole family is there and I can not bring him to my house because they say he's not adjusted yet, but he goes with his father's ex-wife every Friday and spends the whole weekend. The whole deal was that once I was back on my feet and had a big enough house and the income to support my kids that I could go to the court and have everything reversed, it even says so in the papers I signed, but they keep telling me that I have no chance of ever getting him back or seeing him again. I wasn't really doing anything bad when I signed over rights, I was just having to move to a smaller home for a bit and change jobs, so I don't understand how they can just keep him. I also have been told though, by other people, that grandparents have no custody rights in the state of Florida so it should actually be pretty easy to get him back. I hope someone answers me please and Thank you.

Yes they are right grandparents have no rights , and they cant keep the child because they just want to , take them to court, and get you child back , it wont be hard if you have your ducks in a row, a good home, plenty to eat, good job, and health care, and its not for the grandparenst to decide whats best for the child , its the court system , so do this now , and get him back , and love him,

Call a lawyer, right away...the longer this carries on, the more attached the child is going to become

to his other family.... you might also try (thru a lawyer, if necessary) telling them that you have no

intention of keeping the child from them, that would be too cruel, and would seem or be just

an act of revenge on your part....

remember, also,,, their son is deceased, & this is perhaps their way of keeping him with them..

i'm sure they love him too...

if you can show a judge that your situation has so improved as to enable you to care for your

son, there should be no reason not to get him back..

do remember, in the future, be careful what you sign, how it is worded, and do call for some legal

aid right away...

above all, don't blame the grandparents...they have lost a son, BUT they also need to realize

that this was only meant to be temporary..... best of luck & happiness to you all....
